We're featuring Westerland's 2008 Celebration vintage (Cabernet Sauvignon/Cinsault) in our April 2010 Classic Series; it too successfully escapes the "road tar in the wine" trap, and is actually very smooth on the palate. While it has a classic South African nose (tar), the smoky Cinsault character is cut by the blend with the Cabernet, making the wine more approachable. Great review.
